Wellness Travel: experience deeper

Updated: Nov 12

Travel is more than escaping to new places, it is an opportunity to awaken your senses and connect more deeply with yourself and those around you. At Zorba and Mahayana, we offer meaningful ways to bring balance and harmony to your holiday.

Incorporating wellness into your trip is a way to rejuvenate the soul while spending quality time together. Wellness can include massage, fitness activities, adventures in nature (such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding), and for those wanting to dive deeper, transformative yoga and sound healing sessions.

Private guided yoga or sound healing (or even a combination of both) are available onsite so groups can enjoy a mini-retreat built right into their stay. Sessions are in the comfort of your private villa or Zorba’s yoga studio space. For something even more immersive and uplifting there is an option for yoga and sound healing in a private cenote.

We work with only the best and most trusted healing practitioners in Tulum.

PRIVATE YOGA CLASSES AT ZORBA AND MAHAYANA

Yoga sessions are led by Olga Lingard, a yoga instructor native to Mexico with training in multiple modalities. Her classes are sure to meet the specific needs of your group. Lingard runs her own studio and offers Vinyasa, Hatha, Anusara, and Therapeutic style classes that can be tailored to your level of experience and preference.

SOUND HEALING

Experience the sacred vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls or a sound bath from the deep resonance of gongs at Zorba and Mahayana. Private group sound healing sessions can be booked for your stay. Private sessions are led by Rene Robledo from The Medicine of Sound. The Medicine of Sound is a multidisciplinary music and sound healing project created by musician, multi-instrumentalist, and therapist Rene Robledo. His sessions aim to raise people’s consciousness and awaken the alchemy of the soul.

PRIVATE YOGA COMBINED WITH SOUND HEALING

For those looking for a complete journey of the senses, Olga offers the magical combination of live music and yoga. (1.15 hrs). This unique experience unites the benefits of sound healing and yoga to heal the body and soul. The sound of flutes, sitar, and singing add beauty and vibrations to your movement to bring you into a deeper state of peace. Explore dynamic sequences and also moments of deep calm and introspection.

PRIVATE YOGA WITH SOUND HEALING IN A CENOTE

For those looking for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience and who want to connect even more deeply with mother earth, Olga offers private yoga & sound healing sessions in a nearby cenote, Taak bi ha. This longer fully immersive session is an experience you will remember and treasure (2 hrs). Enjoy gentle yoga accompanied by ancient instruments to connect yourself with the sublime beauty of the Riviera Maya in an incredible natural acoustic space. At the end of the class, you can swim in the crystal clear waters of the cenote.

By sharing these experiences with your friends and family in Tulum, you are not only improving your health, and releasing stress, you are also fostering a bigger connection, having deeper experiences, and connecting more deeply with each other.
