Welcome to Mahayana's exclusive collection of holiday homes located on the beautiful beaches of Tulum, Mexico. At Mahayana, we offer boutique style homes for couples, families and groups of friends. Our cheerful private homes are located right on the beach, and offer an authentic and laidback atmosphere to relax and take in the natural beauty of Tulum. Mahayana offers a gorgeous home for up to 10 guests, a seaside studio for two, a charming treehouse for adventurous spirits, and two spacious 3-bedroom homes - one with direct sea views and the other with a private swimming pool. With only five rentals on the property this is Tulum the way you always wanted to experience it.

The Casas

At Mahayana Tulum, our homes include fully stocked kitchens, and are furnished with bath towels, bed linens and beach towels. Your stay includes daily cleaning, groundskeepers who rake and sift the sand, and friendly staff to welcome you and assist during the day.

A pop up breakfast + taco stand with a resident chef by the sea offers food a la carte for our guests only.

The Location

Tulum, Mexico is located in the southern end of Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula on the Eastern Coast of Mexico. The hotel area extends along a powdery stretch of white sand and is an easy flight from many major cities in North America and we are lucky to welcome travelers from all over the world each year.

Tulum exudes a magnetic and creative energy enhanced by the artisans and tastemakers of Mexico and beyond. You can find many famous restaurants, boutiques and wellness offerings that compliment the type of slow-living that residents cherish.

Far enough from the beach clubs to enjoy peace and tranquility but close enough to walk to them if you wish Mahayana is well located to enjoy a relaxing stay. Our property is next to the Lula Wellness Studio, with a variety of yoga, dance, fitness and sound classes offered daily. Mahayana guests received preferred rates on drop in classes.

Hartwood and Arca are within a few minutes walk for those looking for a premium dining experience.

Sustainability

We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment to preserve the nature and beauty of this place we love.

We minimize single use plastic by providing purified drinking water in the kitchen and each bathroom in refillable containers. We also provide luxurious organic and biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash made with sacred Mayan honey in refillable containers.

We recycle our grey water to use for plants and all our lights are LED to minimize our power consumption.

Policies

The Mahayana property is exclusive to guests and not open to the public. For the safety, security, and enjoyment of all our guests, the following rules must be respected:

Check-in 3pm. Check out 10am.
We recommend a shuttle from the airport. Parking is limited. We can arrange for a private airport shuttle for guests.
Property is for guests only.
No pets.
No smoking in the homes.
No candles or open flame. No fire at all on the property or the beach.
Mahayana pool hours 8am – 8pm.
No glass in or around the pool.
Quiet on the property from 11pm onwards.
Daily housekeeping is included in the stay.
Guest services are available from 9am – 8pm. Emergency contact only after 8pm.
Night security on site. Lock gate after hours.
Zero tolerance for illegal drugs or activities.
No outside vendors or outside guests or professional sound equipment without prior written consent.
