#1 Mahayana can host up to 27 people on its entire property.
Mahayana offers a gorgeous home for up to 10 guests, a seaside studio for two, a charming treehouse for adventurous spirits, and spacious 3-bedroom homes with a private swimming pool. The property is gated from the road and open to the private beachfront and the Caribbean Sea with security onsite and staff to assist with your stay. Lush tropical greenery and palms provide shade and privacy between villas so you can relax in comfort and style. Mahayana’s boutique property is exclusive to guests, and while we mostly book homes individually, full property buyouts are available.
#2 We are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment to preserve the nature and beauty of this place we love.
We minimize single-use plastic by providing purified drinking water in the kitchen and each bathroom in refillable glass containers. We also provide luxurious organic and biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash made with sacred Mayan honey in refillable containers. Our grey water is recycled to nurture and water the plants, and all our lights are LED to minimize our power consumption. Daybeds and loungers are moveable so we can keep the beaches clear on summer nights when the turtles nest on the beach. Nests are then marked with sticks to protect them.
#3 You have everything you need at our property, including tacos!
Our homes include fully stocked kitchens, Air conditioning throughout our homes, all bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, and even low-wattage hair dryers so you can pack light. Your stay includes daily cleaning, groundskeepers who rake and sift the sand, Nespresso machines, security, and friendly staff to welcome and assist during your stay. A pop-up breakfast + taco bar by the sea offers food and drinks a la carte for our guests only.
