Looking for some adventure on your trip to Tulum? Endless places to explore and bespoke adventures await you! Tulum is blessed with incredible Cenotes, the Sian Ka'an Biosphere and ancient Mayan Ruins. A visit to a local cenote and a ruin is not to be missed. Here are our top adventures in Tulum:

Girls group in the water at Laguna Kaan Luum

1. Tulum Ruins

The famous Tulum Ruins perched on the edge of the Caribbean with striking views of the turquoise sea are just 20mins away - go early to enjoy the ruins in the morning light when it is not hot or busy, and bring a swimsuit to dip in the sea when you have done your exploring.

2. The Laguna Kaan Luum

For fresh turquoise waters and great swimming, sunbathing and maybe even a paddle board excursion visit this incredible cenote that is so large it feels like a lake. The Laguna is accessible by rental car, taxi, or with as a guided tour. If you go on your own bring lunch and snacks to fully enjoy this natural phenomenon just South of Tulum's city centre.

3. The Coba Ruins

The Coba ruins and cenotes are a great day trip! The 45 min drive from Tulum inland will take you through a few small artisan towns selling gorgeous dreamcatchers and other local handcrafted items. Be sure to stop and check them out. Entrance to the Coba ruins is minimal and for a small additional amount you can rent a rustic bicycle and cruise around the national park on your own. To learn more about the history of the Mayan people and the significance of the ruins we recommend hiring a local guide at the entrance to the park. Once inside don't miss climbing to the top of the largest ruin to enjoy the 360-degree views. This is the last ruin you are able to climb in the area.

Close to the ruins are three stunning cenotes protected and managed by the local town - stopping at one for a quick refresh is a must after the ruins.

4. The Sian Kaan Biosphere

Explore the biological diversity and protected nature of the Sian Kaan Biosphere on a paddle board and combine it with a SUP yoga class and maybe even a sunset. A great local guide company can provide all the gear and an instructor so all you have to do is show up with swimsuit and smile. https://www.supyogatulum.com/book-now

5. Cenote/Private Yoga/Sound Healing

For something extra special and a little more mellow the Mahayana concierge team can arrange for a private sound healing and yoga class in a cenote. This is a fully immersive healing and rejuvenating experience you will always remember. This is perfect for wellness oriented groups. https://www.mahayanatulum.com/wellness .
